Huawei has officially introduced into the market the new Huawei Honor Tablet, a low-end Android device with 8-inch display and unibody aluminum chassis able to make calls and send SMS.

With the passage of time, the various manufacturers of consumer technology have increasingly accustomed to the presence of display design, hybrid or simply borrow some features or functionality from their closest cousins.

The design is pretty simple and does not seem to stand out for any particular characteristic except for construction materials: for his tablet Huawei has chosen to use an aluminum chassis, a factor quite welcome on a tablet by the low price.

On the front is an IPS panel with a diagonal of 8 inches and HD resolution (1280×800), accompanied by a VGA front camera. Among other technical features are a 200 MSM8212 Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset with quad-core processor 1.2 GHz, 1 GB RAM, 6 GB of internal memory expandable via microSD, 5 megapixel camera and 4800mAh battery. As already said, the tablet also has a 3G HSPA + connectivity that allows you to make and receive calls.

The Honor Tablet 8” will be launched on October 16 in Malaysia at a price of about $ 183. There are no information with respect to a global distribution.
