HTC published an official video to announce the arrival of “something remarkable” that will be presented during the press event in New York on 8 October. The teaser hints at a gadget dedicated to the shooting, maybe a cam-action.
A little more than two weeks ago, HTC has begun to distribute some mysterious invitations to a press event to be held early next month. The theater chosen for the press conference, which will take place precisely the ‘October 8, is New York, but the Taiwanese company, as often happens on these occasions, did not disclose details about which will be the protagonists of the event.
So far what we could gather are rumors and advances and the list goes add another published by HTC itself.
This time, the ad takes the form of a teaser video that alludes to the functionality of a new electronic gadget. The images refer to a device dedicated to video footage that seems endowed with some kind of water resistance as well as wide-angle lenses and something akin to a slow-motion mode. The video itself is not as much room for speculation and nothing is confirmed: there may be a smartphone, a device or a hybrid action-cam as the GoPro.
Some rumors would tip the balance towards the latter option. In one of the frames of the video you can see the shape of the object in question but the picture will be blurred.
In addition to that a user of Reddit, sifting through the promotional site ReCamera was able to get some clearer photos that show a gadget from the anonymous design that looks, in fact, an action-cam. The pages in question, however, are currently inaccessible.
