Feather Falling allows us to essentially swim through the air – at a slower speed than normal, but without fear of suffocating or taking fall damage. This makes getting around worlds much easier – no more bridges are needed! Just use your Feather Falling Apples to slow yourself down as you move along.
You can use feather falling to stop yourself from killing yourself when you fall out of the world, something that always used to happen back in Beta 1.8 (and before) but is less frequent these days with “fancy” void maps.
